In this thesis it is studied the way in which newly established companies have become a new force for new jobs and specifically from the mid 2000's they are an important growth force for advanced countries since emerging nations are trying to activate and support start-ups through active government policies for their development methods. Also the popularity of globalized economy has grown dramatically in recent years. However, about 30% of start-ups closed within two years of their establishment.
The aim is to highlight the characteristics of their internal development through analysis of their main characteristics that determine the values and the mentality that created a new trend of shared accommodation, which opened doors for people who had never thought of connecting their lives with the industry of hospitality and which allowed them to earn money, to learn new cultures, to find new friends and for some of them they even allowed them to become businessmen. One of the most prominent platforms offering accommodation directly from hosts to guests is Airbnb. Due to the fact that Airbnb is a fairly new - we could say - company, the limited research focuses on the important question of how Airbnb has changed the lives of hosts. In the present thesis, we talk about start-ups, legislation and the general image that exists in Greece in this field and in the second part of the theoretical research there is an attempt to analyze the hosting platform Airbnb, as well as the so far legislative framework that governs it in Greece. From the analysis of this paper it is concluded that the new recommendation, the organization, green entrepreneurship and start-up innovation can be considered the most important steps for its start up, while the rapid
growth is the factor that separates start-ups from long-standing ones.
