The present study aims to investigate the perceptions of Primary Education teachers on the prevention, management of crisis due to the Sars-CoV-2 virus and the role of the director. First, the term "crisis" is explored and the categories and types of crises in the educational field are mentioned, as well as their characteristics. Reference is also made to crisis management in the Greek reality, the concept of leadership and the role of the leader/director. The literature review concludes with the reference to the Sars-CoV-2 virus and its influence both at the Greek and global level. A quantitative survey was carried out on a sample of 102 Primary Education teachers. The results showed that teachers recognized that the health crisis, like any other crisis, affected the school community, teachers and students. The need for crisis management teams and a strong manager who will be responsible for the prevention, organization, management of crisis, as well as its results, is emphasized. Additionally, the importance of training and the need for hands-on practice in hypothetical critical incidents is highlighted. Finally, the differences in the demographics of the respondents were explored and it was found that age, years of service and service in an administrative position differentiates the opinions, making the management of critical incidents more efficient.
