This master thesis will deal with the civil liability of the State and specifically with the civil liability of public hospitals. In the first chapter of this paper we will refer to state civil liability in general. In the second chapter we will stipulate and discuss the components of doctor civil liability. The third chapter will deal with expanding upon specific issues about doctor’s civil liability in their work environment as far as public hospitals are concerned. The chapter’s premise is concerned with consumer protection law which is addressed in Law 2251/1994. In the fourth chapter of this thesis patient compensation derived from any action or omission on the doctor’s behalf will be reconstructed. In the fifth and final chapter of our topic matter, we will try to deconstruct the current events, with humankind finding itself in a state of emergency, due to the pandemic, the likes of which we have not seen in many years. Following all the above is our summary which examines everything we have mentioned thus far leading us to our second to last section, the conclusions.
