The present work focuses on the organization of modern warehouses and specifically on company X, an importer of food. The company is growing, as a result of which the storage space is no longer sufficient for its needs and productivity is low. In addition, the procurement process is now complicated due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The enterprise has implemented an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to improve productivity in all departments, including warehouse operations.
The aim of the research is to describe the challenges in warehouse management and procurement processes and to propose workable solutions. Fieldwork and qualitative analysis were conducted with semi-structured interviews. Secondary data was also collected in order to propose solutions to the challenges facing the company.
