Nowadays, evaluation in the field of education is very important. There is a lot of research, both nationally and internationally, that focuses on the development of evaluation systems, which will contribute to the improvement of the education provided. The connection between the evaluation and the quality of the educational work is direct, while its effective implementation depends mainly on the acceptance it will have from the teachers of the school units. The present work investigates through a questionnaire, the views of teachers in secondary education in the Greek capital, regarding the evaluation of both the educational unit and the teacher himself. The results of the research show a general positive attitude of teachers towards evaluation but maintaining some reservations about the conditions and the way it is carried out, but also the need to create a culture of evaluation in educational units.
