Abstract
Τhe changes observed in the modern era, especially during the last decade, have a significant impact on education at the level of learning. The modern technological means direct education towards enhanced learning experiences and more effective educational systems, through the adoption of modern educational practices.
In the present thesis, an educational application was implemented, which, having the role of the instructor, is called to transmit the field of knowledge to the user-student. The educational software, based on the two domains, CAI (Computer – Aided Instructor) and ICAI (Intelligent Computer - Aided Instructor) or ITS (Intelligent Tutoring Systems), aims to teach Logical Gateways and Boole Algebra to students of Vocational Education, through intelligent tutoring systems.
The first part of the thesis focuses on the program implementation and the application description. It also presents the learning theory as well as the use of ICT in vocational education and training.
The second part presents the system architecture. In the last part, conclusions about the application are drawn and there is reference to possible future extensions of the educational software.
