The main purpose of the research in this paper is to investigate the development prospects of tourism in the regional unit of Evia. Tourism boosts the income of the economy, creates thousands of jobs, develops a country's infrastructure and cultivates a sense of cultural exchange between tourists-visitors and citizens. The regional unit of Evia is a popular tourist destination, attracting both Greeks and foreign visitors. In addition, it is an important destination for alternative tourism, as it gathers many natural landscapes, traditional settlements, rare ecosystems, while it has a large number of landscape pilgrimages and religious events, which make it an important destination of religious content. A number of proposals and actions will be mentioned to enhance tourism. In order to investigate the possibilities and prospects for the development of tourism in Evia, a research was conducted on the current situation and the recording of the problems that hinder its development.
