Latest results of the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA 2015) show a lack of mathematical thinking skill based on problem – solving thinking. The subject of this diploma thesis is the design, development and evaluation of an innovative training seminar aiming at the development of algorithmic thinking as problem solving skills in primary educators through the Kinect-embodied interaction game design. Educational material, including a set of Kinect design cards, was designed for the purpose of the seminar. The findings of this approach show that it positively influences the development of the algorithmic thinking of 15 primary teachers who participated and they are able to design Kinect games according to the needs of their learning population. At the same time, the evaluation of Kinect design cards was positive for their support role based on teachers’ answers.
