With the development of technology, scientists are constantly creating programs and new methods for their use in everyday life. The use of computer in education and, in particular, the existence of an electronic learning platform, is particularly important for both teachers and students. The trainee can deal with the subject that interests him any time and for as long as he wants. On the other hand, the teacher can follow the course of his or her students, or even renew the available questions whenever he thinks necessary. This diploma thesis presents the creation of a web based Java learning system. This application is intended for students who want to learn the Java programming language, as well as for teachers, by offering them the possibility of renewing the questions, the theory, as well as controlling the course of the trainees. The dissertation consists of three main parts. The first part describes the application and analyzes the technologies used to implement it. The second part follows the analysis of the requirements of the system and the third part describes the operations accompanied by appropriate usage scenarios. In the last part of the thesis we draw conclusions about the application as well as about future extensions of the software.
