Abstract

The purpose of this master thesis is to develop a digital application for the Android platform. The application concerns the Numismatic Museum. Through the application the visitor will be able to navigate and tour virtually in the museum through his smartphone. In addition, features that make it easier for a user to visit the museum have been added to the application. If we want to summarize the core elements of this diploma thesis, we focus on two axes. The first revolves around the operating parameters and the aesthetic presentation of the application, which may limit the usability and the ease of access through the interfaces of a smartphone. The second concerns the presence of cloud features that were exploited in the application through the use of Google Firebase. Finally, all the stages are described in detail and the creation of the application is analyzed, from the study of the functional requirements and the architecture of the system and the technical implementation until the presentation of its conclusions and future perspectives.
