The organizational culture of an organization is one of the most decisive factors of the satisfaction, the efficacy and the overall attitude of the employee within the company. It directly affects the psychology and the way it operates in the workplace. It concerns all those informal and formal rules that have "agreed" to the company for its proper functioning. One of the key concepts found in organizational behavior of an employee is job satisfaction, which relates to whether an employee is satisfied with his work. In particular, currently in a period of economic crisis and difficulties, entrepreneurs and managers is important to try to keep their employees as much as possible satisfied and unaffected by the economic and social problems of the times we live, as it has been proved that a satisfied employee performs better . Until recently, the study of factors that affects human behavior in the internal environment of the organizations had not been on the study of emotions. However, in recent years it has begun to be perceived as their significant impact on human behavior and has led to the emergence of concepts such as emotional intelligence. In this paper, we will present the most important theories of emotional intelligence and professional satisfaction that exist in the international bibliography and how they, together with positive organizational factors, effectively influence the satisfaction of the workplace. In particular, the third and fourth chapters of the paper will include research that highlights the main drivers of work satisfaction and emotional intelligence, particularly in the health sector.
