Unipi JobFinder is an online application for searching jobs, posting jobs and managing jobs. JobFinder can be used in many different ways depending on the type of user and his/her needs. A person that is looking for a job and a person offering a job position can use this same app in different ways. However, both of them are considered simple users, contrary to the administrator of the platform. With JobFinder, an employee or unemployed person has the ability to browse through jobs, choose categories or cities, use the search engine, locate the activated job positions on a map, as well as ask for nearby locations. Moreover, this type of user can apply for a job and/or subscribe to certain job categories in order to receive new job posts directly to his/her email address. On the other hand, an employer can post a job position and receive job applications to the company’s email address. The administrator of JobFinder has the ability to manage job posts, job applications, subscribers, job categories and cities. JobFinder is an application for posting job positions all over Greece. The development of JobFinder is based on the MVC software design pattern (Model-view-controller). It was programmed in PHP/MySQL combined with the use of technologies/tools that played a significant role in the creation of a simple and user-friendly online app such as Slim Microframework, Google Map API, PHPMailer, RedBeanPHP and Bootstrap 3 UI.
