Abstract
The aim of the project is to develop an Android application that enables its users to send notifications in case of an emergency or in a panic situation. The users can also send messages and emails on the press of a single button.
The phone numbers, email ids and the contents of the text and email messages can be set from within the application. All notifications sent, also have the last known location of the user. This would help in tracking the location of the person. Users can also call the 112 directly from within the application, if the nature of the situation demands it.
Furthermore, by sending notifications will be sent and the level of battery power of the user's device, so recipients know the time they should be able to communicate with the application user. In addition, is provided the possibility of recording audio file so that the user can create a recorded message and send. Users can also make use of multimedia messaging service, where it is possible to image file upload, video and audio, besides text.
A very important option that is given to users of the application is the phone call via internet or more accurately "Voice over Internet Protocol", which offers voice chat in real time with fairly good quality and
most essentially no cost, since in this call is not a traditional telecom operator that intervenes, but only the internet.
