Listening and reading comprehension constitutes a challenge for both educators and learners while learning English. The difficulty lies both in relation to the reluctance of students to participate in the educational process as well as in relation to the limited time of the traditional class. The proposed solution is to utilize online tools that make teaching listening and reading interesting, enjoyable and efficient. The advantages that the existing sites offer are important and therefore their use is considered imperative. Their choice, however, must be done with great care in order that they meet criteria that ensure the suitability and quality offer in the educational process. For this reason, these criteria are clearly defined while the online tools that meet them are presented and described. Subsequently these online tools are presented to teachers of English with a view to informing them, exploring their attitudes towards the use of technology and the internet and finding out their intention to utilize them in their educational practice.
