Performance evaluation and personnel payment system in the banking sector: A comparative analysis

The subject of this thesis is the theoretical approach and investigate the evaluation of effectiveness of the remuneration of staff in Greek businesses, especially in the case of banks. First of all, in the introduction import definitions as well as the purpose, structure, and the case method will be used in the writing of this thesis. The first chapter includes an extensive reference to concepts and principles of assessment. Following are details of the management staff, the activities of business (marketing, skills in management, productivity), to assess the productivity of workers and the process (job analysis, defining desired outcomes, developing ways to measure results), the purpose of evaluating the effectiveness, advantages and disadvantages of evaluating the efficiency (error variables, standard errors, intimacy, misinformation phenomenon Mathew Effect, the phenomenon of generalization (the halo effect), to determine the parameters of the evaluation and end methods for assessing employee performance (evaluation based on the comparison, evaluation based on absolute criteria, evaluation based on the achievement of objectives, evaluation by direct measurement of efficiency). In the second chapter the focus is more specifically reward systems personnel. In this effort included the assessment of skills, talent management (model properties, succession plan, systems selection, development planning and development), wages (wage strategy, strategic framework fees, senior management, job evaluation, benefits). The third chapter deals with the mechanism of action of the banks for the management staff. It recorded introductory concepts for human resources (basic concepts and definitions, human resources, the importance of the human factor), the Human Resources Administration (the importance of modern business and operations), Performance Management (policy evaluation and utilization of human resources, human resource training, reward systems) and finally the banking system (current developments and challenges in the international banking system, the importance of managing human resources in the Greek banking sector, linking concepts human resources - training in banks, regulatory framework of vocational training). The fourth chapter provides data to evaluate the effectiveness and the remuneration system for staff to Piraeus Bank. Shows how staffing and the professional development, the form of work to Piraeus Bank (open communication, work environment, employee support programs, salaries and benefits) and the end of corporate governance (diversity and equal employment opportunities, human and labor rights). The theme of the fifth chapter is to evaluate the efficiency and the system of remuneration of staff in the National Bank. In the sixth chapter, compared and evaluated the remuneration systems of the two banks. Presented by the collective labor agreement of Greek banks (basic salary, bonus balance, hours of operation headquarters, mortgage rate, job retention, cultural and sporting activities INE / OTOE final provisions, duration), the latest developments from 2013 to 2014 , international comparisons and end wage differences and inequalities (the distribution of earnings in the financial sector). The last chapter concerns arise and draw conclusions on how to assess the effectiveness of the remuneration of staff in Greek businesses, especially the National Bank and Piraeus Bank.
