During the last years, the integration of games in the learning procedure has slowly begun to make its appearance in our country as well. This trend, quite mature abroad, follows the long stream of nowadays. What is more, the rapid evolution of new technologies could not have left this specific part of learning games untouched. That is a part of the current thesis. Whether an eLearning game can be a "healthy" and optimal learning environment is just the beginning of this paper. In the theoretical part of the thesis, we analyze specialist's researches who prove that eLearning games can lead to the development of competencies and skills. Then, we examine some existing systems in order to identify their weaknesses and design and implement an eLearning game environment in order to fill the existing gaps. The system that we implement is an innovative tool which allows to produce multiplayer online board learning games with innovative learning features. The most important part of this system is its versatility as far as the produced games and their learning content are concerned. It is a "machine" that, according to the instructional design of the teacher, can produce any combination, taking into consideration these two characteristics.
