The freight market can be subdivided into individual markets either by type of vessel, type and nature of cargo being transported, geographical breakdown by sea freight, or by charter time, or by charter based on the charter type. Shipowners, freighters, shippers, managers, brokers who exchange information at various shipping centers around the world contribute to the achievement of safe shipping by sea. Due to the separation of the freight market into individual markets, there was a need for freight market indicators to monitor market conditions and trends. Ιn this thesis we will deal with the bulk dry and wet freight indicators and study whether the freight markets are interoperable. By the simple regression model and with criteria of obliquity and non-parametric Kolmogorov-Smirnov control, we will check the regularity of the variables (bulk dry and wet freight indexes, BRENT index) and then with the Pearson correlation coefficient, we will examine how closely each market's indexes are related, how much they affect each other, and how much the BRENT index affects the dry and liquid bulk markets.
