Abstract

This master thesis presents the securitization of assets as a financial tool to enhance the liquidity of banks and reduce credit risk. The thesis, aims to analyze the securitisation technique before and during the financial crisis of 2008 in the U.S.A. Also, the current overview of securitization market is presented. Finally, an analysis of a case on NPLs’ securitization will be presented following on from Korea’s crisis of 1997.
