This paper deals with the shadow banking system that operates in China. Generally, such a system consists of loans made outside the banking system and generally from financial transactions not subjected to supervision and regulatory framework, as the official banking and financial system. In China the development of this system, since 2009, has witnessed great flourishing and considered worthy of study. Although there are views that consider that it offers significant advantages as a competitive credit channel, however the fact that is not subjected to supervisory and regulatory framework carries significant systemic risks, particularly when there is an economic crisis. Due to the fact that China is a major economy the impact of this system can be transmitted to other financial markets and economies. For this it is necessary not halting the growth of such a system, but the process to get into a supervisory and regulatory framework in order to continue to offer any good with the minimum risk. Therefore, although the rapid growth of the shadow banking system in China, consists perhaps a threat inside and outside the country, but there are ways to mitigate all of this.
