Abstract

The Internet is the most important and the most influential human invention since the 1960’s. The World Wide Web invention and the easy Internet access contributed to the completion of huge structural changes in many sectors of our society. A feature that is not well developed and could be offered more extensively through the Internet to its users is the detailed recording and presentation of their experiences. This thesis is about a web application that enables its users to maintain a personal profile, register their experiences and important events, edit these entries and watch lists consisting of them. The application was implemented using the principles of the MVC architecture and popular frameworks (Codeigniter, Bootstrap), databases (MongoDB) and other modern technologies (AJAX, JQuery, Google Maps).
