Recent years have seen significant impact of logistics on the environment, where the impact is
evident in climate change, while noticeable is their contribution to environmental destruction.
Therefore, considerable interest has arisen in recent years to investigate this situation, which has
attracted the attention of companies, which are trying through various actions and in accordance
with the requirements of international organizations to redesign their supply chain by integrating
into it more friendly friendly ways.
The purpose of this paper is to study the Green Logistics how these apply to freight. This paper
analyzes the concept of Green Logistics, their starting point, the philosophy and content, the
benefits and challenges arising from their implementation, both to the companies that use them
and in their general activity environment. Moreover, the environment is analyzed in which they
are applied with respect to freight and the legislative framework is the application.
