The current medical innovations around the world have led to increased concerns about their role in the increasing of medical costs and the burdens on the healthcare systems. On the other hand, medical technology is one of the booming industries of the world, which promises much growth and potential for countries around the world. Britain is among those countries which is one of the best healthcare systems in the world, but due to poor policy decisions is suffering tremendously. The application of medical technologies is therefore becoming very difficult for a country which is low on its health budget. The identification of the actual role that medical technology has in the raising costs of healthcare is very important if future policies are to be successfully implemented.
