The objectives of the Psychiatric Reformation are, on the one hand, the closing of psychiatric clinics and on the other hand, the creation of structures of psychosocial re-establishment which aim at the confrontation of mental illnesses in the community. Therefore, the job satisfaction of employees involved in corresponding structures, comprises one of the fundamental factors leading either to success or failure of each and every reforming effort. The research was carried out in 21 structures with the participation of 119 employees. The study of professional gratification was facilitated by the distribution of a questionnaire, which includes demographic and also social traits, and thirty questions. The analysis of the questions led to the study of six factors of professional gratification that deal with the prospect of the employees' advancement regarding the characteristics of work, the working environment, the relations among the colleagues,the participation in decision-making, and the potential of assuming initiatives. It has been concluded that the institution of employment, the type of structure as well as the years of previous working experience contribute greatly to the professional gratification. Other than that, it has been indicated that there is room for interventions in all six factors, so that the level of professional satisfaction of employees is enhanced.
