This dissertation presents a Hospital Information System which could be used in private and public hospitals, clinics and dispensaries. It analyzes the utility of these systems, the benefits which are offered and the need of their usage in every single organization. Respectively, it describes the functional capabilities of the application, focusing on the technology used (Java, Spring, Spring Security, Hibernate, etc.) for its implementation. It will also study the security level of the proposed system as it has to manage private data of patients that are classified and it has to be careful with who and how anyone is managing them. Eventually it will see that the establishment of such a system is achievable/feasible without spending large amount of money.
