This thesis focuses on the analysis of the methodologies for Engineering Requirements in iformation systems’ development projects. The purpose of this work is the presentation of the processes for defining Engineering Requirements, and emergence of the necessity of Engineering Requirements for the proper establishment of an integrated information system. Initially, the information system’s life and development cycle models are analyzed. Afterwards, definitions and explanations for better understanding of the Requirements Engineering process are given. Further, the Requirements Engineering stages are described, such as requirements’ elicitation, analysis, specification and validation. Then, the process of requirements change management is explained and the procedures and the tools that are used for this are presented. Finally, a case study which analyzes the requirements of home health care system, and utilizes the Requirements Engineering process is presented.
