On the occasion of a specific Case Study (Health Information System for the region of Ionian Islands), here, we write down how the above HIS was designed, the events which took place during its design, until its final result. Thus, while we initially mention a bibliographic report in subjects that are related to this particular implementation, that is to say, relatively, with HIS which use web technologies, follows the presentation of the Case Study and afterwards, we analyse its whole data using Pettigrew Theory. The purpose of this aim is to create a basis on which we should support the designing and the implementation of such systems, but also to determine the project management and how to face the potential problems that will come up. The collection and imprinting of my experience was acquired from the effort of importing HIS in the Ionian Islands, which is analysed in a structural way (Pettigrew Theory) and leads to useful conclusions and directions that can be applied on similar future undertakings.
