This undergraduate thesis focuses on the design and development of Quizly, an interactive Android mobile application that combines education with entertainment through a trivia game. On the back-end side, the application utilizes Spring Boot in combination with Spring Security and JWT (JSON Web Tokens) technology for secure, stateless user management and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). Data storage and management are handled in a PostgreSQL relational database via Spring Data JPA, while the front-end was implemented utilizing modern UI components from the Android SDK. The system integrates advanced gamification mechanisms, such as experience points (XP), digital achievements, and dynamic real-time leaderboards, offering a comprehensive and secure user experience.
