This thesis examines the application of Project Management principles within the growing wellness sector. Through the planning of an in-house event, it demonstrates how methodical scheduling and the use of specialized tools render a health organization sustainable and profitable. The study focuses on the organization of a wellness event centered around the core pillars of well-being —movement, recovery, nutrition, and stress management— with a particular emphasis on hormonal balance, effectively combining scientific knowledge with business efficiency.
This thesis initially presents the fundamental concepts of Project Management and the significance of their application within the field of health and wellness event planning. Subsequently, it analyzes the Project Management Knowledge Areas, alongside the tools and techniques utilized for the effective scheduling and control of such events. Furthermore, the pillars of wellness—including movement, recovery, nutrition, and stress management—are examined, with a particular emphasis on the theme of hormonal balance. The characteristics of project management software are also discussed, focusing on the use of Microsoft Project for creating detailed schedules and managing resources.
As part of the practical application, a case study is presented concerning the design and organization of the "Wellness Days 2026" event. Specifically, the Project Charter was developed, the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) was created, and the activities were defined with their respective durations. Simultaneously, the necessary resources were allocated, and a detailed budget was drafted, ensuring the total cost does not exceed €13,000. In addition, potential risks were identified and evaluated through the creation of a Risk Register. Finally, the financial viability of the project was analyzed, targeting a net profit of €12,000 through ticket sales and sponsorships. The thesis concludes with the findings regarding the strategic value and efficiency of the event’s organization.
