Abstract

The subject of this essay is the Modern Management Systems of the Listed Buildings of the Municipality of Athens and, in particular, the Determination of the Spatial Development of the city using Interpolation Methods. An attempt is made to understand the way buildings in the city of Athens were constructed, how they have developed and used over time, and their current condition. After mapping and studying the listed buildings, it was found that the development of the city does not follow a specific pattern. In some areas, construction activity is chaotic, while in others there is a plan and organization. It is likely that the results would have been different if the sample of buildings had been larger. It is considered necessary to adopt a unified plan for the maintenance and use of the buildings so that they form a living organism of the city.
