This master’s degree aims at the promotion and enhancement of the archaeological site of
Nemea through the application of digital technologies and virtual representations. Within the
framework of the research, on-site study and systematic collection of archaeological data were
carried out, which were utilized for the three-dimensional representation of the monuments and
their integration into Virtual Reality environment. Through digital representation, not only the
protection and dissemination of cultural heritage is achieved, but also the creation of a dynamic
medium for education and public awareness. The virtual tour allows users to experience the site
in a direct and interactive way, to observe details that are often not visible during a physical
visit, and gain a deeper understanding of the historical and architectural significance of the
monuments. At the same time, the project strengthens interdisciplinary collaboration among
archaeologists, historians, engineers and computer science specialists, promoting a holistic
approach to the study and presentation of cultural heritage, In this way, the thesis highlights the
role of Virtual Reality as a tool capable of bridging the gap between scientific research and
society, making the archaeological site of Nemea accessible to wider audiences and reinforcing
their connection with cultural heritage.
