The purpose of this Thesis is the preparation of an investment plan for the
development of a wind turbine blade waste management company, in Greece and
specifically in Ritsona site.
In Chapter 1, there is a summary of the whole Thesis so that both the reader and the
potential investor can get a quick and precise understanding of the investment idea
and its value. Then in Chapter 2, a brief history, the profile of the shareholders –
founders and the applicable legislation are described in detail. In Chapter 3, an
extensive analysis of the company's internal and external environment is made, its
strengths and weaknesses are identified, and the Marketing strategy is developed. At
the end of the chapter, the Sales Program is presented for the operation of the
company for the first 5 years.
Chapters 4, 5, 6 and 7 essentially concern the resources that the company will need
to operate (raw materials, mechanical equipment and human resources). The
distribution of these resources, their job description and the costs both for the
purchase (of raw materials, mechanical equipment) and their operation-maintenance
are mentioned. Also, the salary scheme for the employees is referred extensively and
the recruitment process is captured.
Then, in Chapters 8 and 9, analysis in conducted for the location of the company's
process unit and offices, its advantages, and an estimate of the time and cost of the
work required from the moment of the investment decision to the Day 1 of company
normal operation mode.
Lastly, in Chapter 10 financial evaluation of the investment is performed, the need for
initial investment capital, its financing, the profitability of the company during the 5
years of operation and its cash flows are examined in order to be evaluated while
taking into consideration the financial indicators (ROI, NPV, IRR, Payback period) and
decide if the prospective founders are interested in proceeding with the investment.
