Abstract
This thesis examines Digital Transformation as a multidimensional phenomenon that profoundly affects the operation, strategy, and competitiveness of contemporary businesses and organizations. Through theoretical analysis, case studies, and practical application, the research aims to highlight how the integration of digital technologies reshapes business models, enhances customer experience, and demands new organizational structures and skills.
The study begins with a presentation of the fundamental principles of Digital Transformation, the core enabling technologies, and emerging digital business models. It proceeds to analyze organizational adaptation strategies, emphasizing leadership, innovation, and human capital management. Particular attention is given to the Greek experience, focusing on the national digital strategy, the digitalization of public administration, and private sector initiatives.
The fourth chapter presents a detailed case study of a Greek enterprise undergoing digital transformation, examining strategic planning, technological infrastructure, operational results, and performance indicators. The thesis concludes that Digital Transformation is an essential condition for sustainable development and competitiveness, provided it is designed holistically, implemented consistently, and evaluated objectively.
