As time goes by, the technology has been advanced, and given that the competition has been increased among the industries, traceability is an operational necessity. The continuous track and trace of the products along the supply chain can offer a lot and variable advantages in every industry. The occasion of the new legislation regarding to traceability of medicinal products, which has been entered into force in Greece, such as other European countries, this thesis has as goal to present the traceability systems and the technology which is using in Greece, and the evolution of traceability through the years. In conclusion, the most significant problems and challenges of this topic will be presented.
