The purpose of this master's thesis is the design, development, and technical implementation of a digital course focused on developing knowledge and skills for the prevention and management of choking in infants and children. The digital course is intended for parents and non-professional caregivers, such as family members. The educational content covers critical topics, including the causes and risk factors of choking, preventive measures, recognition of key warning signs, and appropriate interventions for managing airway obstruction caused by a foreign object and potential cardiopulmonary arrest. Utilizing a micro-learning approach, the digital course is organized into short, targeted modules, facilitating access and participation for adult learners who have limited time and demanding daily schedules. The learning activities are based on interactive multimedia, simulation scenarios, and detailed feedback and guidance for the practical application of knowledge and skills, enhancing participants’ readiness and decision-making ability in emergency situations. Consequently, this thesis contributes to the field of Digital Learning by providing a comprehensive educational example of micro-learning implementation for the development of health promotion and protection skills, with a strong focus on child safety and life preservation.
