This thesis examines the business prospects of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its importance for
society and the economy. The purpose of the thesis was to study and analyze the manifestations of
AI in terms of its usefulness in society and entrepreneurship. It begins with an overview of the
definition and applications of AI, followed by a historical review, highlighting the rapid evolution of
the technology.
It then discusses the applications of AI in various fields, such as everyday life, public administration,
education, and business, and highlights the reasons why it is a global phenomenon, such as improving
efficiency and promoting innovation. Particular emphasis is placed on the contribution of AI to
entrepreneurship, where companies are leveraging it to save financial and human resources, improve
their supply chain, and optimize their products and services. The social, ethical, and economic
challenges posed by the development of this new technology are highlighted, such as privacy
concerns, inequality of access, and the impact on the labour market.
The paper highlights the need for regulatory frameworks by agencies and governments to mitigate
them. It further examines its future prospects, and the opportunities presented by its use, if properly
exploited. Through case studies such as Amazon, TikTok, and Tony's Chocolonely, it illustrates how
AI has transformed business strategies. This thesis concludes that AI is a driver of growth, with the
need for ethical use of technology being essential to reduce risks and enhance its benefits.
