The modern museum experience is being reshaped by the introduction of multimedia exhibitions, which combine technologies such as projections, sound and interactive elements. These exhibitions promote a multi-sensory approach, placing the visitor at the center and creating a more participatory learning environment. Immersion in these multimedia environments offers a more vivid interaction with the exhibits, encouraging a personal and emotional connection to art and cultural heritage. Examples such as Tim Burton's "Van Gogh Alive", "Leonardo Da Vinci: 500 Years of Genius", "Life in Space" and "El Laberinto" exhibitions demonstrate the power of technology in transforming the museum experience. This paper analyzes how these exhibitions enhance the understanding and educational value of art, compared to traditional, passive exhibitions. Analysis of the evaluations shows that the multimedia approach offers visitors a new perspective and encourages deeper interaction with the exhibits. At the same time, a review is made of the gradual evolution of the museum experience from the traditional role of museums as places for quiet observation of exhibits, to the modern era where multimedia technologies, such as sound, digital applications and interactive installations, transform the visitor experience. In particular, the role of sound emerges as a powerful tool to enhance the emotional and cognitive engagement of visitors. This work highlights the need for innovative museum approaches. Multimedia exhibitions enhance the educational and aesthetic experience, encouraging the active participation of visitors and creating a richer and more dynamic interaction with the exhibits.
