Abstract

The subject of this postgraduate thesis is the development of a mobile application featuring cultural routes that highlight the local history and cultural heritage of the Kolonos neighborhood and its surrounding area. It is designed for both secondary education students and adult visitors, aiming to promote the area as a whole (history, society, culture, natural environment) by focusing on its historical and natural landmarks. The different audience groups will gain knowledge and experiences to understand and appreciate cultural heritage, while also being sensitized, cultivating historical awareness, and developing critical thinking skills.
