One of the main priorities of businesses, apart from simple survival, is the acquisition of a Competitive Advantage. It is observed that now, having utilized almost all of their available resources, companies seek to gain a competitive advantage through their human resources.
Human Resource Management refers to the management of human resources within an organization, including its activities carried out by employees.Strategic Management focuses on the development and implementation of strategies for the long-term success of the business, based on the analysis of the internal and external environment. Strategic Human Resource Management is the application of these principles in the context of human resource management.The work focuses on two main areas: Human Resource Management and Strategic Management. In the first area, the definition of Human Resource Management, the basic models, the objectives, the responsibilities and the central objectives are examined. Then, the concept of Strategic Management, the transition to it, the importance of studying the environment, as well as the formulation and implementation of strategies are examined.In addition, Strategic Management in the context of Human Resources is examined, with an emphasis on the integration of these principles in the management of human resources. Finally, a case study of the company Manifest Services is presented, which offers a further in-depth analysis of the application of the above principles and methods.
