The purpose of this thesis is to study the digital transformation in the logistics industry, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, which is still ongoing, despite the fact that its intensity has significantly decreased. The thesis studies extensively the concept of digital transformation, the benefits that come from it, as well as the relevant policies that are being implemented in Greece and in Europe to further implement it. Subsequently, the thesis focuses on the study of the supply chain and Logistics, where emphasis is placed on the functions of Logistics and especially on the current trends that prevail. Regarding digital transformation, reference is made to digital supply chains, as well as to the impact of Covid-19 in accelerating digital transformation in general and particularly in the field of Logistics. Reference is made to the good practices concerning digital transformation in the logistics sector, which have been developed in Greece and in Europe during the last three years.
Regarding the methodology used, it is a literature review in scientific journals, as well as in corresponding texts, which are related to digital transformation and Logistics. Furthermore, studies related to digital transformation in the sector under consideration are used, as well as relevant information from the internet, in order to obtain data related to good practices.
