In recent years, quality has been the main field of competition in most private healthcare institutions. Nowadays, the consumers-patients are more and more aware of quality aspects of the existing healthcare services. Therefore, healthcare businesses, having realized this trend, seek to adjust to the latest demands by implementing important tools, imperatively aiming at creating and providing high-standard services. This study focuses on the effects of implementing these tools after a relevant administrative decision, in relation to the work of health professionals. In the first part, the topic is covered on a theoretical level, by the review of Greek and international literature. Next on, the subject is investigated at practical level, through the conduct of primary quantitative research in a sample of health professionals working in private healthcare units, using a structured questionnaire. The objective of this effort is to investigate the factors that affect job satisfaction and the views of the participants on the extent to which quality programs in healthcare units contribute to improving the quality of care for patients. What is their perception, in all, towards integrating healthcare systems in their everyday working routine?
