The present study aims to explore the effect of different leadership styles on employees’ well-being and the role of mindfulness in the relationship between them. Firstly, an extended discussion takes place concerning the meaning of mindfulness, its origin and the benefits to a person’s life (spiritually, mentally, physically). Subsequently, the meaning and the definitions of leadership are analyzed and the results from the literature search about the most popular existing leadership styles (positive and negative) are presented. Finally, the connection between positive and negative leadership styles and employees’ well-being in the working environment is being examined as long as the intercessory role of mindfulness among them. The conclusions of this paper converge in the general opinion of the scientific community that positive forms of leadership are connected with the employees’ well-being. Furthermore, mindfulness plays a reinforcing and stimulant role in the relationship of the two parts mentioned above. However, the results of mindfulness’ existence in combination with negative forms of leadership form two groups of opinions. Some surveys agree to the point of negative correlation between mindfulness and negative leadership styles, that leads to an increase in occupational well-being, while others argue that when this characteristic coexists with a negative form of leadership leads to a decrease in employee well-being.
