The aim of this paper is to compare the effect of interventions on refugee adults in terms of their knowledge, their views and their attitudes towards/toward the environment. Initially, reference is made to environmental education, as well as the methods and strategies of environmental education. Next, the benefits of environmental education teaching interventions are reported. This is followed by reference to refugees and intercultural education, while special reference is made to the relationship between environmental and intercultural education. Through the research carried out, an attempt is made to investigate whether there are differences in the cognitive level of the participants after the teaching intervention regarding environmental issues, as well as whether there are differences in the attitudes of the participants and their awareness of the environment after the teaching intervention. From the results of the research, it was found that the participants' answers given AFTER the teaching intervention differ to a statistically significant degree from the answers given BEFORE the teaching intervention. More specifically, for all the research questions, there is an improvement in the participants' cognitive level after the educational intervention regarding environmental issues, as well as a more positive attitude of the participants and an increase in their awareness of the environment.
