The main aim of this paper is to investigate the perceptions of Primary Education teachers
regarding the way school leadership affects the formation of the school climate. Further research
objectives are to investigate the relationships that are developed between the principal and teachers
during the school year, to study the degree of trust that subordinates show in their principal, to
detect the principal's role in creating a good climate and promoting of good cooperation, as well as
recording the way orders are transmitted and any complaints dealt with by the administration. The
total number of teachers who took part in the research comes to 159. All participants are currently
working in Primary schools, public and private, of Eastern Attica. The collected data through the
fulfilment of an online questionnaire especially designed for the purposes of the research are
analyzed and presented in the form of tables and diagrams. This is followed by their interpretation
in direct connection with the research questions and the drawing of conclusions. According to the
findings of the research, it is established that the vast majority of managers, through various actions,
ensure the formation of a positive climate aiming at smooth and efficient operation of the school
units.
