In this paper we will start to analyze the part of the supply chain and logistics as well as the importance they have for the development of every economy and society. By the term logistics I define the process of planning, implementation and control of the effective, efficient flow and storage of goods, services and related information from point of origin to point of consumption in order to comply with customer requirements. Then we emphasize the part of cold logistics. A cold chain is a supply chain of perishable items. The following chapters were listed bibliography and case studies on inventory management and storage of perishable products as well as the technology used. In the first case study was presented the company Turkish Cargo which has become one of the most prominent in the vaccine distribution industry. Then comes the analysis of a blueberry survey in Peru, Panasonic's end-to-end supply chain, the flower center in Dubai and fresh food logistics in the supermarket taking place in Sweden. Finally, some cold logistics statistics are given but also the analysis of the impact of COVID-19.
