The object of this thesis is the investigation of teachers' attitudes towards the management of student bereavement in the classroom. In more detail, the readiness and comfort of teachers in the management of student bereavement will be investigated as well as the emotions they feel about death, such as fear and anxiety, and finally the perceptions of teachers such as avoiding discussion of death, and how they affect in light of certain factors, such as educational, work and personal. The investigation of the subject is done through a bibliographic review of scientific articles, books and works published on the said subject, as well as from the analysis of the results of relevant research. In the introductory chapter, the definitions of mourning, its stages, the perception of death according to the age of the students are presented and then described in detail. In the second chapter, the term "death education" is analyzed, the lessons related to bereavement are described based on the school curriculum and the role of the teacher in the management of student bereavement, as well as bibliographic reference of researches regarding the attitudes of teachers. In the third chapter, the research method conducted among primary and secondary education teachers is analyzed. An important part of the work is occupied by chapter four, in which the results of the research are analyzed and compared with the results of similar researches. Finally, the conclusions of the research are mentioned and described, as well as the further investigation that the subject needs.
