Teacher profile that best responds to the introduction of innovative programs and teaching methods in education
Education today has as a priority the improvement of traditional practices but also the emergence of new teaching methods, which in general meet the modern demands of both students and society. Curriculum design in schools becomes a challenge in itself. Maximizing the effectiveness of the school is possible with educational "innovations" and "changes" that are called to manage the teaching staff as well as the school leadership. This paper focuses on the role played by teachers themselves with the knowledge and skills they have in implementing innovations. The factors that shape the profile of that teacher who does not hesitate in front of the "new" and the innovative are the professional and personal development with an important focus on his training. In any case, however, the success of the innovation cannot be taken for granted. Ιn contrast, the parameters that will ensure success are the profile and disposition of the teachers who will implement it, as well as the support and encouragement of the one who will lead the innovation, thus making the role of both the teachers and the school principal crucial.
