Macroeconomic analysis during the Greek crisis

Abstract
Εconomic crisis in Greece was one of the most important periods of its modern history, as both its intensity and duration played a decisive role in the subsequent course of the country. The fiscal adjustment observed throughout the 2010s in the country was enormous with implications that are still visible today in the Greek economy and society. The answers of the people who participated in the research confirm the great difficulty that the increase of unemployment mainly brought to the Greek society, but also the increase of both direct and indirect taxes. Moreover, the majority of the sample does not consider that the Greek governments had the opportunity to substantially change their policy, although, on the other hand, the negative effect of the institutions' incorrect prediction of the actual effect of the multipliers on recessionary course of the country.
