Ανάπτυξη επιχειρηματικότητας στο χώρο των υπηρεσιών εξ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευσης: μελέτη περίπτωσης μιας νέας επιχείρησης
This Diploma Thesis was prepared in the framework of Post Graduate Program Education and Educational Institutions Economics and had as its object the analysis of the market for distance learning services. Market research was conducted using the internet in order to collect data to substantiate the main research question, the purpose and the individual objectives of the research. The data obtained were limited due to the inability to identify a sufficient and detailed amount of information from domestic agencies. The convenience sample highlighted the key reference quantities and their characteristics in order to substantiate the validity of the research. Taking into account the basic requirements of the participants in training programs, ie the strengthening of their professional career and the need to respond to a time consuming and demanding program, a business plan was designed that responded to them. The plan was not limited to training programs but extended to innovations that can be applied to the environment remotely. From the analysis of the plan it was found that the project can bring profitability but not sustainability since the cost of producing innovative content is asymmetrically borne by the project. Without this innovation the project loses in competitiveness and consequently in viability. This largely explains the way in which the domestic market operates, with the introduction of specialized training programs as well as specialized workforce from the international environment.
