Early preschool education is one of the most popular topics in the world. Children of this age have special needs as they begin to shape character and behavior according to the interactions and stimuli they have from their external environment. Thus, preschool education has a significant impact on preschool children. Therefore, the present study aims to investigate the criteria by which parents choose their children's preschool education, emphasizing private preschool institutions. The research aims to identify these characteristics and provide suggestions to private preschool institutions for their inclusion in their strategy. The final objective of this study is the detection of modern tendencies. The issue was quantified using a questionnaire as a data collection tool to achieve this goal. 149 questionnaires were collected from parents with children in private preschool education. One of the most important findings of the study concerns the opportunity identified by the results, which is related to the fact that parents are interested in providing knowledge, developing skills and generally educating their preschool children and not just in their care by kindergarten The study's findings showed that the main features of the curriculum that parents take into account relate to the child's social and emotional development, physical activity and respect for disability and integration, and respect for different nationalities. They also showed a greater preference for the Reggio Emilia educational approach, the Play-Based Learning educational approach, and the Montessori educational approach. Regarding the characteristics of private preschool education, the present study's findings showed that the main characteristics parents are interested in are the teacher-student ratio, cooperation with experts, and the cost and quality of food. In addition, the research findings showed that the main factors that parents take into account for the cost are the curriculum that is applied, the teaching method that is applied, the reputation and the head of the institution, and finally, the supplies that the child gives for the transition in primary education. The research concluded that parents want private preschool education that will deal with the child holistically, providing all the necessary supplies and meeting the unique needs of each child individually.
