The purpose of this paper is to investigate the attitudes of teachers regarding the evaluation of schools and teachers.
The first chapter introduces the basic concepts and methods of teacher evaluation, as well as the importance of self-evaluation. The second chapter concerns the role of leadership in the evaluation and development of the school unit as a whole. The types of leadership and the dimensions of school leadership are also mentioned.
The next chapter is the research methodology, which is quantitative and through a questionnaire, and after is the chapter with the presentation of the research results. The main part of the research, which consisted of 29 questions, was specifically designed to cover a wide range of issues related to teacher evaluation. The general picture that the sample presented to us was that of a moderate attitude with the average values for most of the questions hovering around the neutral attitude.
The research showed that teachers consider the most important indicators of a teacher's teaching and pedagogical ability to be contagious and his ability to cope with the learning difficulties of his students. Lastly, the conclusions of the work and the literature are presented.
